You know how it goes. Several months go by, and for no apparent reason, you’re struck by the irresistible desire to open up the game that sucks hours out of your days as you live vicariously through pixelated people. I’ve been struck by the Sim bug. It’s been a good minute. Doing some computer maintenance, I decided to finally reorganize my Sims 4 mods folder. I deleted some old cc, or custom content, and decided to download more. Shout out to all the content creators because they add so much to the experience. Anyway, It got me thinking about what packs I would like to see that would enhance my gameplay experiences based on the sims I use. I will try to avoid packs that tend to show up with every Sims iteration and the list is not in any particular order.
- Romance Pack
- I need more romantic interactions, and it’ll be a good way to introduce a chemistry/attraction system and even likes, dislikes, and favorites. We could also get proper social media profiles and try online dating, maybe even catfish or be catfished. I would like more date spots as well. Restaurants and parks are repetitive. Hopefully, it will let sims and relationships feel more unique. What’s the point in all the relationship types if they all behave the same?
- Famous Musician Pack
- Our sims could become a famous DJ, singer, instrumentalist, band. It would be really cool if you could select which genre you want to specialize in ex: classical violinist, country singer, jazz band, chiptune DJ. Also a DJ booth for two people. I just have a lot of Scott Pilgrim fantasies, okay? Also, with the music made with the music production studio from GF, a DJ should be able to play it like they would if they made a track using the DJ booth.
- Farming Pack
- No big reason, I’m from the South, I like country things, and I want to jam fruits and interact with large animals. Also, we could choose between ranching and farming, farmer’s markets where we could show off prize stock or produce, and pie eating contest. I low-key miss the festivals from Sims 3 seasons.
- Daredevil Pack
- This game is too clean, too nice. I have a hard time even getting a slacker sim fire. It could involve extreme sports, more ways to die, proper robbers, revamping the way kleptomaniac sims work (I don’t like the cooldown time), anything to make the stakes higher
- Hobby Pack
- The game needs different activities for sims of all ages to do. I really just want sims to have aspects that feel unique to them. I hate that they all gravitate to the tv and computers in their homes. Arts and crafts, sports, etc. I want to see some sims knitting, making clothes, practicing for all-star games or dance recitals. If I had to pick a reason on why I have a hard time sticking with the Sims 4 is that after playing for an extended period of time, all my sims feel the same. They do the same things. Couples that hate each other treat each other the same as the couples who are madly in love with each other. If any pack arrives that provides sims more individuality, I will be appreciative.
