I’m not going to say when I post the new chapters or extra tidbits because life is letting me know that I exist on its schedule, but it will be sometime next week. I do think I need to start up my blog posts again, I missed these spaces to talk to you all, so maybe that will help things stay on track, but I will have to work with my IRL schedule.
How’s everyone doing? Need to get something off your chest, comment below🌿
This week was busy. Our tiny world is slowly trying to regain some normalcy, yet it’s strange because we know it will never be like it was before. Isn’t that kind of a good thing, though? That despite all the trouble and hurt, that perhaps we can all come out of this a little more kind, more considerate.
I am going to miss having more time to write, but this moment in life has made me realize how important it is to prioritize those things that nurture my spirit. Supplement my limited time here with activities that fulfill my mind, body, and spirit. Give myself a space to heal, mourn, and grow on my own terms.
I always knew writing had a deeper purpose in my life. This opportunity to explore more creative avenues got me in touch with the innocent version of myself that I locked away to protect, and she showed me how much she missed the light. She showed me she was stronger than I gave her credit for. She showed me the beauty in overcooked cakes, messy paintings, and run-on sentences. She showed me how to mourn with my hands. How to the ask the Earth for something and earn it.
All this time I’ve been searching for more time to write, I was searching for me. I found her and what a reunion it was. I don’t think I could hide her away again even if I wanted to. It feels so good to have someone to face the world with once more.
Slowly but surely, I am relearning to trust myself like the days when I first learned to walk and talk. To relearn that every stumble and fall is not the end of the world. I wish that for all of you. To trust yourself and your process. To measure your success with your own milestones and not those set by others. To let the softest parts of you see the light.
Peace and happy writing🌱
